Uniform Accoutrements

Lanyard

The Canadian Provost Corps pattern lanyard adopted about 1950. It appears to have been originally worn on either the right or left shoulder by all ranks. Period photographs show that by about 1953 it was being worn on the right shoulder by Other Ranks and on the left shoulder by Officers and Warrant Officers Class 1.
