Officer's Rank Insignia

Upon the adoption of the combat uniform in 1963, new patterns of rank insignia were approved for wear. These were worn on slip-ons on the combat shirt, coat and winter parka. These patterns of rank insignia were worn well past Unification, and into the 1970s.

Battledress and Bush Uniforms
C1953 - C1968

Officer's rank insignia during this period was virtually identical to that worn during the Second World War. The only major difference was the adoption of the Queen's Crown in the mid 1950s.
