Underwear

Underwear was obtained from commercial sources and usually marked with Canadian Government property stamps. Lightweight cotton underwear was issued for summer wear and woolen one or two piece underwear was issued during the winter. As well as issue underwear, underwear, socks and shirts recieved as gifts from home or through various organisations such as the Red Cross or Regimental Wives Associations were very popular.
