RCAF Identification

  Several types of identification were issued to RCAF servicemen. These included a paybook for airmen, and identity cards for all ranks. Passes were required for leave and any kind of travel. A few examples of RCAF paperwork are illustrated below.

IDCARD1

Cover of an RAF Identity Card issued to all ranks.


IDCARD2

RAF Identity Card details. This card was issued to an Acting Air Commodore of the RCAF.


IDCARD3

The standard RCAF Identity Card issued to all ranks. The card is a photographic reproduction sealed in plastic.


WARRANT

Certificate of authority (Warrant Card) for RCAF Service Police at No. 4 Manning Depot, Quebec.


PAYBOOK

RAF issued Airman's Pay Book.


EMBARKATION

An Embarkation Card was required for all travel by boat or aircraft.
