Rating's Trade Badges


In addition to the rank insignia, Ratings of the RCN wore badges of their trade or "rate". In general, these were identical to badges worn by the RN, however there were some rates that did not appear in the RCN. Ratings of the Royal Canadian Volunteer Reserve wore the same badges as Regular ratings.
